A rich yet subdued palette — inspired by the surrounding landscape — shapes the interiors and reflects a connection to the natural world. Aspen’s evolution from a silver mining town to a center of art, culture, and innovation was shaped by the visionaries who arrived after World War II, bringing modernist ideas and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the Roaring Fork Valley. Inspired by the landscape, artists, designers, and thinkers helped define Aspen’s distinctive creative identity. MOLLIE honors this legacy by weaving together the town’s history, artistic influence, and surrounding mountain environment.

Music has been woven into Aspen’s cultural identity since the influence of Walter Paepcke in the 1960’s. While live music can be found year-round, summer is when the town truly comes alive offering a naturally vibrant, mountainous backdrop elevates every performance from June through Labor Day. Each year, Aspen’s repertoire continues to grow, with newly added concerts, festivals, and live music experiences.

Art is a theme that is naturally woven into the fabric of the town, and historically, Walter and Elizabeth Paepcke are the ones to be thankful for it. The beautiful backdrop inspired the influence of art, making Aspen what is it today, more than a ski destination, but also a town enriched with art and culture.
