The 100 Best New Hotels of the Year

“By the time I made it to MOLLIE Aspen in January, only a month into the hotel’s life, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had reportedly already been through. That’s Aspen for you. Rihanna’s pick, unsurprisingly, hits; the hybrid lobby-restaurant-cafe is cozy without the in-your-face, capital-m Mountain Vibes.”

The 41 Best New Hotels in North America, Europe, and Beyond for 2024

“Cozy rather than grand, MOLLIE’s guest rooms favor a minimal Scandi and Japanese design, and the lobby café/restaurant is bursting with comfortable seating—shearling chairs, relaxed leather sofas, velvet-covered stools. A crackling fire serves as the first-floor centerpiece, but the real star is the bar program, curated by Gin & Luck, the team behind famed Manhattan speakeasy Death & Co.”

Mountain Magnificence

“For those seeking a different side of the mountain, the newly opened boutique MOLLIE Aspen, part of Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ L.V.X. collection, is a breath of icy-fresh-air. Named after Aspen’s historic Mollie Gibson silver mine, the hotel is a startling synthesis of green technology, minimalist design and décor authentic to the region. Far from being yet another over-the-top caricature of the Rocky Mountain West, MOLLIE is urbane, cultured and innovative, like Aspen itself.”
