Music in Aspen: A Summer Series
Music has been woven into Aspen’s cultural identity since the influence of Walter Paepcke in the 1960’s. While live music can be found year-round, summer is when the town truly comes alive offering a naturally vibrant, mountainous backdrop that elevates every performance from June through Labor Day. Each year, Aspen’s repertoire continues to grow, with newly added concerts, festivals, and live music experiences.

Live Music Nights
On select Thursdays at MOLLIE Aspen throughout the summer, enjoy live acoustic performances from 5 – 7 PM on our Roof Terrace–an intimate setting with sweeping views of Aspen Mountain as the backdrop.
Belly Up Aspen
Aspen’s most iconic music venue delivers an impressive lineup of top artists each summer. Known for its intimate setting, there’s truly no bad seat in the house, making every performance feel personal.
JAS June Experience
A beloved early-summer tradition, JAS June Experience brings live jazz performances to venues throughout Aspen, creating a lively and walkable music atmosphere.
Sunset Sounds at MOLLIE
Launching June 13, our Sunset Sounds series take place once a month on select Saturdays from 6 – 8 PM. This complimentary experience invites guests and locals alike to gather for golden hour music, with food and beverages for purchase. RSVPs are recommended.
Snowmass Concerts
Every Thursday starting on June 18 until August 27 from 5:30 – 8:30 PM, Snowmass has a free concert on Fanny Hill, accessible from the Snowmass Mall. Food and drink are available for purchase at the venue.
Bluegrass Sundays
Spend your Sunday afternoons at the top of Aspen Mountain (Ajax), where live bluegrass music pairs perfectly with panoramic views and fresh alpine air.
Aspen Music Festival
Running from July 1 through August 23, this internationally renowned festival offers an exceptional lineup of classical music performances, attracting world-class musicians and audiences alike.
Up in the Sky
Taking place August 7 – 8 at Buttermilk, this high-energy festival blenders EDM and indie sounds in a stunning mountain setting. This year’s lineup includes John Summit, Dom Dolla, Empire of the Sun, Passion Pit, and Polo & Pan.
JAS Labor Day Experience
