As Aspen settles into its quieter season, many restaurants adjust their hours or close temporarily before winter, but our fall off-season doesn’t mean Aspen stops dining.
From morning coffee and leisurely lunches to happy hours, cozy dinners, and late-night cocktails, there are still plenty of places to enjoy around town.
Here is our guide to where to dine in Aspen this fall.
Breakfast
Petit Trois Aspen
For an authentic taste of Paris in the heart of Aspen, Petit Trois brings timeless French charm and elevated bistro classics to MOLLIE Aspen. Start the morning with French-inspired breakfast favorites, pastries, and coffee before heading out for a day in the mountains.
Petit Trois will serve breakfast daily from 7–11 AM through October 31.
Bear Den Aspen
Tucked into downtown Aspen, Bear Den is a cozy spot especially for breakfast and brunch, with a welcoming atmosphere that feels particularly fitting on a crisp fall morning.
Bear Den will remain open through October 25 daily from 9 AM–10 PM.
73 Cafe Aspen
73 Cafe offers a casual stop for coffee, breakfast, and grab-and-go options at The Gant Aspen, with adjusted hours during the quieter fall season.
They are open this fall on Mondays and Thursdays from 8 AM–2 PM and Fridays–Sundays from 7AM–3PM.
Coffee & Cafes
The Cafe at MOLLIE
Nestled within MOLLIE Aspen, The Cafe serves Sightglass Coffee, ceremonial grade matcha, and a selection of Rishi teas alongside fresh breakfast items and pastries. During lunch, guests can also order from a special Petit Trois menu.
The Cafe at MOLLIE will serve daily through October 31, from 7 AM–3PM.
Felix Roasting Co. at Hotel Jerome
Located inside Hotel Jerome, Felix Roasting Co. brings the celebrated New York City coffee shop to Aspen. Bold interiors meet an elevated coffee program, with beautifully crafted espresso drinks alongside pastries and daytime bites.
Felix will remain open throughout the off-season, serving daily from 7 AM–6 PM.
Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar
Originally founded in Milan, Sant Ambroeus brings classic Italian café culture to Aspen. Refined espresso drinks are paired with celebrated desserts, light lunch fare, and cocktails, making it equally suited to a morning cappuccino or an afternoon treat.
Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar will remain open throughout the off-season from 8 AM–5 PM daily.
Meadows Café
For another all-day coffee shop located at the Aspen Meadows Resort, Meadows Café will remain open throughout off-season, serving daily from 7 AM – 5 PM.
Lunch
Petit Trois Aspen
Petit Trois continues into lunch with a menu inspired by the timeless bistros of Paris. Settle in for a leisurely midday meal in MOLLIE before heading back out to explore Aspen.
Lunch is served daily from 11:30 AM–2 PM through October 31.
White House Tavern
Housed in a historic 19th-century cottage, White House Tavern is an Aspen favorite known for its premium sandwiches, salads, and shareable plates.
White House Tavern will remain open throughout the off-season, serving daily from 11:30 AM–9 PM.
Meat & Cheese
Part restaurant and part specialty market, Meat & Cheese is a longtime Aspen favorite for shareable plates, sandwiches, salads, and globally inspired fare. Its relaxed atmosphere makes it an easy choice for a casual fall lunch in town.
Meat & Cheese will remain open through October before closing for the month of November.
Happy Hour
Clark’s Oyster Bar
Clark’s Oyster Bar is an Aspen staple with a New England-inspired interior and a menu centered around oysters, seafood, burgers, and classic bar snacks.
Clark’s will remain open throughout the off-season, with happy hour offered Monday–Friday from 3–5 PM. Specials include half-priced burgers, half-priced martinis, discounted oysters, and $5 oyster shooters.
Lola 41 at White Elephant Aspen
Located inside White Elephant Aspen, Lola 41 serves a globally inspired menu spanning sushi, seafood, and dishes influenced by cuisines from around the world.
Lola 41 will remain open throughout the off-season, with a dedicated happy hour menu served daily from 3–5 PM.
Las Montañas
Las Montañas brings Tex-Mex flavors and a lively atmosphere to downtown Aspen. Settle in for an afternoon margarita and a bite before heading into the evening.
Las Montañas will remain open throughout the off-season, with their special happy hour menu served daily from 3–5 PM in the bar and patio.
Dinner
Petit Trois Aspen
End the day with a little taste of Paris at Petit Trois. The French bistro serves elevated classics in a warm, intimate setting at MOLLIE Aspen, making it an inviting spot for a cozy fall dinner.
Petit Trois will serve dinner daily from 5–9 PM through October 31.
Casa Tua Aspen
Set inside a cozy ambiance with world-class homemade Italian food in the core of downtown Aspen at Casa Tua. Its intimate dining rooms make it especially well suited to a cool fall evening.
Casa Tua will remain open throughout the off-season for dinner service from 5–9 PM.
The Wild Fig
A longtime Aspen favorite, The Wild Fig serves Mediterranean-inspired dishes in an intimate setting just off the Cooper Avenue pedestrian mall.
Enjoy dinner at The Wild Fig through October 18, when the restaurant closes for the off-season. Until then, dinner is served daily from 5–10 PM.
Matsuhisa Aspen
Located inside a historic 120-year-old Victorian house, Matsuhisa Aspen remains one of the town’s most coveted dining experiences, known for Chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s signature Japanese cuisine.
Matsuhisa will remain open throughout the off-season for dinner service in its downstairs dining room.
Drinks
Petit Familia
Head upstairs at MOLLIE Aspen to Petit Familia, the hotel’s rooftop bar inspired by the flavors and spirit of France and Mexico. Sip agave-forward cocktails and light bites while taking in the surrounding mountain views.
Petit Familia will remain open through October 31, Wednesday–Sunday from 4–10 PM, with snacks served until 9 PM.
Hooch Aspen
Located downstairs, beaneath the streets of downtown Aspen, Hooch is an intimate and eclectic cocktail bar made for gathering before or after dinner.
Hooch will remain open through October 31, Tuesday–Sunday from 6 PM–1 AM.
The Living Room at Hotel Jerome
For fireside drinks in one of Aspen’s most iconic spaces mixing history, Western design and craft cocktails, head to The Living Room at Hotel Jerome.
The Living Room at Hotel Jerome will remain open throughout the off-season.
