Wintersköl

Celebrated since 1951, Wintersköl™ is Aspen’s iconic four-day “toast to winter” honoring the town’s rich alpine spirit and mountain community. The historic festival brings downtown to life with snow sculptures, live music, the beloved Soupsköl soup competition, a craft beer festival, and the iconic torchlight parade and fireworks down Aspen Mountain. To celebrate Wintersköl’s 75th year and Colorado’s 150th, this year’s event will also feature a drone show to mark the occasion.

Aspen Snowmass celebrates a milestone 80th anniversary season! To mark the occasion, the resort is hosting a weekend of special activations on Saturday, December 12, and Sunday, December 13, complete with $80 lift tickets—giving guests an incredible opportunity to enjoy a long weekend of discounted mountain access and celebratory experiences.

Headlining the 2026–2027 season is the debut of the all-new Nell Bell chairlift on Aspen Mountain. Replacing the iconic Bell Mountain (1957) and Little Nell (1986) lifts, this high-speed quad rises 2,656 vertical feet directly from Gondola Plaza to the top of Bell Mountain, delivering fast, seamless access to the heart of Aspen Mountain’s best terrain straight from the base.
