The Leisure Guide to Summer in Aspen

Summers in Aspen can look a lot of different ways—from adventured-filled itineraries to wellness-focused retreats. For those looking to slow down and savor the season, here is our guide to a leisurely summer weekend in Aspen.

FRIDAY

4 PM – Arrive to MOLLIE Aspen and settle into your stay.

 

5 PM – While the sun is still out, head to the Roof Terrace for a dip in the Spa Pool. Enjoy live music along with refreshments for purchase from the bar.

 

7:30 PM – Have dinner at Matsuhisa, a popular Japanese restaurant known for its exceptional and signature dishes.

SATURDAY

9:30 AM – Start your morning at the Aspen Farmer’s Market in downtown Aspen. Stroll through local vendors, enjoy fresh bites, and take in one of Aspen’s favorite summer traditions.

 

11 AM – Spend the late morning strolling through town, browsing local galleries and shops, and visiting favorites like the Aspen Art Museum and the John Denver Sanctuary.

 

12:30 PM – Stop for lunch at White House Tavern, a beloved spot known for their delicious sandwiches and salads.

 

2:00 PM – Book a stand-up paddleboard experience through Blazing Adventures and float through the scenic North Star Nature Preserve for a peaceful afternoon on the water.

 

6 PM – Enjoy an authentic French dining experience at Petit Trois Aspen.

 

8 PM – End the evening with a performance at Theatre Aspen.

SUNDAY

8:30 AM – Take a slow morning with breakfast in bed before heading out for the day.

 

10 AM – Rent e-bikes from Aspen’s Best E-Bikes and cruise along the Rio Grande Trail toward Woody Creek Tavern for a laid-back lunch.

 

1 PM – Ride the Silver Queen Gondola up Ajax Mountain to the Sundeck and enjoy Bluegrass Sundays until 3 PM.

 

3:30 PM – On your way back to MOLLIE, stop by Paradise Bakery for cookies and ice cream and enjoy live performances from the students of Aspen Music Festival and School that play outside.

 

6 PM – Head to dinner at Clark’s Oyster Bar, for fresh seafood cuisine served in a nautical setting.

Monday

9:30 AM – Before leaving Aspen, stop by Felix Roasting Co. at Hotel Jerome for coffee and breakfast.

 

11 AM – Check out of MOLLIE Aspen and depart feeling restored and recharged, and already planning your next visit.
