Dining in Aspen this Spring: A Guide
Once the lifts stop running and winter officially comes to an end, Spring in Aspen begins. The weather is warmer, the town becomes calmer, and dining reservations become far easier to secure. It’s one of the best times to experience Aspen like a local, with fewer crows and more favorable prices.
Here is a guide of where to dine in Aspen this April and May.
Petit Trois at MOLLIE Aspen
For an authentic taste of Paris, Petit Trois brings timeless French charm and elevated bistro classics to Aspen. Founded by the acclaimed Chef Ludo Lefebvre and housed in MOLLIE offering year-round breakfast service, dinner service, along with an extensive wine list.
Beginning in April, Petit Trois will add a three-course Prix Fixe offering of $60 per person, making it an ideal way to experience the restaurant during the quieter months.
Las Montañas
Las Montañas serves vibrant Mexican cuisine, with a focus on Tex-Mex favorites.
During April and May, the restaurant opens daily at 3 PM and offers Happy Hour from 3 – 5 PM, featuring $12 margaritas, and tacos starting at $6.
Clark’s Oyster Bar
Clark’s is an Aspen staple with an interior inspired by the New England and a menu dedicated to seafood and additional bar snacks.
From Monday – Friday, 3 – 5 PM, their popular Happy Hour includes half-priced burgers, half-priced martinis, 50 cents off oysters and $5 oyster shooters.
White House Tavern
Housed in a historic 19th-century-cottage, White House Tavern is beloved for having the best premium sandwiches in town and a high-energy exhibition kitchen.
Since the restaurant does not accept reservations, and often draws a crowd, Spring is the perfect time to visit.
Kenichi
Kenichi is a long-time Aspen favorite known for its neon-tinged modern decor, vibrant atmosphere, and delicious Japanese cuisine.
The restaurant serves sushi, sashimi, and contemporary Japanese dishes, and remains open daily during April and May with additional locations in Snowmass and Carbondale.
The Lounge at Limelight Aspen
The Lounge at Limelight Aspen is a buzzing destination for gathering, connection, and live music. Overlooking Wagner Park, the spacious lounge is open year-round, serving après through dinner.
Their Happy Hour from 3 – 6 PM features pizza starting at $16, beers from $6, and wine by the glass beginning at $13.
Matsuhisa Aspen
Located in a historic 120-year-old Victorian house, Matsuhisa Aspen remains one of most coveted reservations in town.
As Chef Nobu’s first location outside of Beverly Hills, it remains the gold standard of Japanese fusion and continues to welcome guests throughout shoulder season.
